We'll talk about layering your quilt and basting, planning your quilting patterns, choosing threads and then finally, using your free-motion skills and/or BSR to execute some simple quilting patterns. Q169 Techniques, Techniques and More Techniques
In the class, 8 Techniques will be covered and applied to a beautiful panel. You will learn step by step basic instructions for: 1) Free Motion Quilting, 2) Dimensional Thread Painting, 3) Trapunto, 4) application of multiple Overlays, 5) various 3D Lay- ering, 6) Bobbin Work, 7) Blocking and Squaring a quilt and of course, 8) applying Crystals! More importantly, you will learn the proper steps of creating these numer- ous techniques, But also why and when to apply them to a quilt!

This bright wall hanging ( 42 x 42) is another from Mini Wonderful Curves by Jenny Pedigo and Helen Robinson and uses the QCR mini ruler. Do not fear the curves, they involve no pinning and together we will have you sewing them with ease. There will be a ‘colors’ starter pack available for purchase if you want to use what you see in the shop sample but you will need to choose your own background fabrics.

Q129 Beginner Quilting
Have you been wanting to learn to quilt? This is the class for you! Emphasis will be on rotary cutting and precision machine piecing using the newest techniques and tools. The use of short cut tips and trade tricks will allow you to complete a beautiful sampler top by the end of this class. A sewing machine is required at some, but not all, classes.

Q130 Beginner Quilting II
You did it! You're well on your way to having a completed quilt top. Yea!!! Now…what's next? Well, just a few things like backing for your quilt, selecting batting and sandwiching your quilt and basting it. Then you have to decide how to quilt it and finally you'll want to know how to bind the edges. Then you're done!!! Anne will cover each of these steps so you won't feel intimidated or overwhelmed. This class is ONLY for those students who took Beginner Quilting last semester.

Q2 “Sew” Relaxing
Join us as we open one of our classrooms up to anyone who wants to come in and sew or quilt or whatever. You'll have a place to spread out and work to your heart's content - away from the phone and other distractions of home. The coffee's always on so bring your projects ... a friend or two and lunch. We'll provide the space and any number of folks to offer an opinion or advice on your current project! And...we might just throw in some informal tips, techniques or sneak peeks at upcoming cool stuff. "Sew," come kick back and spend a relaxing day (or part thereof!) and stitch away! You must register ahead of time for this class!
